Each of the four light positions sits within a recessed diffuser set into the matte white surface, directing soft general illumination downwards whilst highlighting the bevelled edges and stepped layers of the geometric panels. The fitting takes four GX53 bulbs (sold separately), allowing you to control both brightness and colour temperature to suit the room.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and low-ceiling living spaces where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Area's 40mm profile sits almost flush to the ceiling with a 490mm x 440mm footprint. The asymmetric polygon arrangement means the fitting works as a decorative ceiling panel rather than a purely functional light source, avoiding the circular monotony of typical flush-mount fittings. Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable GX53 LED bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible LED dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer combination you choose.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 40mm profile makes the Area well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m to 2.6m where a pendant light would feel cramped. It also works in taller rooms where you want ceiling lighting without a hanging element.

How is it fitted?
