Description
The ANTEM LED is a 50W floodlight with a built-in PIR motion sensor, putting out 4000 lumens of neutral white light at 4000K. It throws a wide 100 degree beam, washing a broad area with even illumination the moment movement is detected. Built around an aluminium alloy body, it draws from a 220-240V AC mains supply and runs at 80 lm/W. North American buyers will recognise this format as a motion-activated LED security flood, the kind mounted above a door or driveway to light an approach automatically.
The PIR floodlight suits sheltered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or covered entrance, along with garage and side-access doorways where light is wanted only on demand. Its IP44 rating means it is splash-resistant and built for covered or partly protected locations rather than fully exposed positions facing direct rain or water jets. Coverage is best judged by throw rather than room area: the 100 degree beam spreads the 4000 lumens across a generous patch of yard, path or wall, with the sensor triggering the light as someone enters the zone. Mounted at typical doorway or eaves height, it covers a useful approach without harsh hotspots.
The housing is aluminium alloy in a black finish, sealed to IP44 for splash protection and surface mounting to a wall or ceiling. The integrated PIR removes the need for a separate sensor, and the fixture is not dimmable, running at full output when triggered. Expect a rated lifespan of around 15,000 hours, and at 580g it is light enough to fix to a single wall plate. This unit sits within the wider ANTEM range of floodlights, which we stock in several wattages to suit different coverage needs.

Frequently Asked
How bright is it and what does it cover?
It produces 4000 lumens at 4000K neutral white, spread through a wide 100 degree beam. That is enough to light an approach path, driveway entrance or doorway area, with the spread judged by throw rather than a fixed room size. Mounting height shapes how far the beam reaches.
What old halogen floodlight does this replace?
An older halogen floodlight runs at roughly 20 lumens per watt, so 4000 lumens is comparable to around a 200W halogen unit. This LED version delivers similar brightness while drawing only 50W. It also lasts far longer, with a rated life of about 15,000 hours.
Can it be used outdoors?
It carries an IP44 rating, so it is splash-resistant and suited to covered or sheltered outdoor spots like a porch or carport. It should not be fitted in fully exposed positions facing direct rain or water jets. For doorways and protected approaches it works well.
How do I clean it?
Switch off the supply and let the fixture cool, then wipe the lens and aluminium housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or jets of water, which can disturb the IP44 seal. A periodic clean keeps the output bright and the PIR lens responsive.
