Description
The Antem is a compact LED floodlight drawing 10W and putting out 800 lumens of neutral white 4000K light through a wide 100° beam. A built-in PIR sensor switches it on when motion is detected, so it works as automatic security and approach lighting rather than a permanently lit fitting. Across the Atlantic this style of fitting tends to be sold as an outdoor security floodlight or motion light, and the wide beam spreads its output across a broad arc rather than concentrating it in a single throw.
At 800 lumens the Antem is a small task and security light rather than a wide-area floodlight, so it suits sheltered approach points and entrances. Mount it over a porch, a carport, a back door or a covered side passage where the PIR can pick up movement as someone walks up. The 100° beam gives a generous wash close in, lighting a doorstep, a few steps or a parking space rather than throwing far down a garden, and the neutral 4000K tone keeps faces and surfaces clearly visible. It is best placed at standard door-head or eaves height where the sensor can see the route in.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, with an IP44 rating that makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered, covered positions rather than fully exposed walls or anywhere subject to direct water jets. It runs straight off 220-240V AC mains and can be wall, ceiling or surface mounted, so it adapts to most entrance fixings. The fitting is not dimmable, which suits its sensor-driven on-off role, and the integrated LED is rated to around 15,000 hours. Other wattages and a non-sensor version sit alongside this model in the Antem range.

Frequently Asked
How bright is it and what does it replace?
The Antem produces 800 lumens from 10W. An old halogen floodlight runs at roughly 20 lumens per watt, so 800 lumens is close to what a 40W halogen flood would give, while drawing a fraction of the power. It is intended as a focused entrance and security light rather than a wide-area flood.
Can it be used outdoors?
It carries an IP44 rating, which makes it splash-resistant and suitable for sheltered, covered spots such as a porch, carport or covered side passage. Keep it clear of fully exposed positions, direct water jets and standing water, as IP44 does not cover those conditions.
How does the PIR sensor work?
The built-in passive infrared sensor detects movement and switches the floodlight on automatically, then off again after the motion stops. This makes it well suited to approach lighting and security at doorways and entrances, where you want light only when someone is present.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the lens and the aluminium alloy body with a soft, slightly damp cloth, taking care to leave the PIR sensor window clear so detection is not affected. Switch off the supply first and avoid harsh solvents, which can mark the black finish over time.
