The Antea is an extendable dining table with a white marble-effect MDF top and a matt black powder-coated metal frame. The table extends from 2.06m to 2.85m using a centre-stored leaf that unfolds to add 79cm of length, taking the seating capacity from 8 to 10 people. The top sits on angled metal legs that form an A-frame profile at each end, spreading the weight across the floor and allowing knee clearance for end-position seating.

Designed for open-plan dining areas, large kitchens and dining rooms where 8-10 person capacity is needed regularly, the Antea works as both a family table and a hosting table. The 103cm width provides comfortable elbow room for place settings, while the oval profile with rounded ends avoids sharp corners in circulation zones. The extension mechanism stores the leaf flat beneath the main surface and requires no separate storage when not in use. The table arrives flat-packed and requires assembly, typically taking two people around 45-60 minutes to complete.

The MDF top carries a melamine overlay printed with a white marble pattern showing grey veining, sealed with a gloss finish that resists water marks and minor scratching. A black edge trim runs the full perimeter of the top and the extension leaf, creating a defined boundary between the table surface and the matt black metal frame. The frame finish is powder-coated to resist chipping and corrosion, and the legs fix to the underside of the top using metal brackets concealed beneath the surface. At 68.2kg the table has substantial weight that minimises movement during use but requires two people to reposition once assembled.

How does the extension mechanism work?

The extension leaf is stored flat beneath the centre of the main table surface. To extend, pull the two halves of the table apart, unfold the centre leaf upwards into position, then push the two halves back together to lock the leaf in place. The process reverses to retract the table back to 2.06m.

What floor space is needed?

At minimum length (2.06m) allow 3m x 2m of floor space including chair clearance. When extended to 2.85m allow 3.8m x 2m. The table works best in rooms of 4m x 3.5m or larger to allow comfortable circulation around all sides.

How is the marble-effect surface cleaned?

The melamine finish wipes clean with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent. For tougher marks use a non-abrasive multi-surface cleaner. Avoid bleach, acetone-based cleaners and abrasive scourers which can dull the gloss finish over time.

Does the table arrive assembled?

No. The table arrives flat-packed with the top, legs, extension mechanism and fixings separated. Assembly requires two people and takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
