Description
The Antea is an 8-10 seater extendable dining table with a black marble-effect MDF top and a matte black metal frame. The table extends from 206cm to 285cm using a central extension mechanism, adding 79cm of length to accommodate two additional diners. The top surface is finished with a melamine coating over the MDF substrate, providing a high-gloss black marble appearance with white veining.
Designed for dining rooms and open-plan kitchen-diners with space for a table footprint of at least 2.1m x 1.0m, the Antea suits gatherings ranging from weeknight family meals to formal dinner parties. The extension slides out from the centre and locks into place, allowing the table to be set up for larger groups in under a minute. The metal frame uses angled legs in a matte powder-coated finish that pairs with the glossy top without competing for visual attention.
The black marble effect on the top shows diagonal white veining across the surface, consistent across the main tabletop and the extension leaf. The melamine coating resists heat marks, water rings and scratches better than bare MDF or untreated wood veneers, though hot pans and sharp knives should still be kept off the surface. At 68.2kg the table needs two people to move it safely, and assembly on delivery is required using the provided fixings and Allen key.
The oval profile when extended softens the visual mass of a 2.85m table in smaller rooms, and the lack of sharp corners makes it easier to navigate around in tighter layouts. The 78cm height is standard dining table height and suits most dining chairs with seat heights between 45-48cm.

Frequently Asked
How does the extension mechanism work?
The table extends from 206cm to 285cm using a central leaf that slides out from underneath the main top. The extension locks into place with a latch mechanism and the surface is flush when fully extended. Two people make the operation easier.
Is the marble real stone?
No. The top is MDF with a black marble-effect melamine coating that replicates the appearance of polished stone. This keeps the weight manageable and the price accessible compared to a genuine marble slab, while still providing heat and scratch resistance.
What room size is needed?
When extended to 285cm you need a room that allows at least 3.85m x 2.0m of clear floor space to comfortably pull chairs out from all sides. When closed at 206cm the requirement drops to approximately 3.0m x 2.0m.
Does it require assembly?
Yes. The table ships flat-packed and requires assembly on delivery. The metal frame, top sections and extension leaf are fixed together using Allen-key bolts provided in the pack. Assembly instructions are linked in the Downloads tab above.
