Description

The Andrea is an 880mm two-tier chandelier with nine E14 bulb positions arranged across polished chrome curved arms, each fitted with a cream cylindrical fabric shade and finished with a black crystal teardrop beneath. The chrome frame uses a symmetrical branching pattern with six arms on the lower tier and three on the upper, giving the chandelier a balanced profile when viewed from any angle.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Andrea provides both ambient light through the cream fabric shades and decorative accent through the polished chrome and black crystal elements. The drop is adjustable between 800mm and 2000mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or set higher in a hallway depending on room proportions. The polished chrome ceiling rose fits standard UK ceiling fixings and the chain conceals the cable run.

Each cream shade is a fabric cylinder approximately 120mm wide, diffusing light from the E14 bulb inside to prevent glare while maintaining brightness. The black crystal teardrops below each shade catch and reflect light from neighbouring bulbs, adding movement and sparkle without the density of a full crystal chandelier. The combined weight of the chrome frame, fabric shades and crystal elements is 6.8kg, giving the chandelier physical presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings in most UK residential properties built to standard Building Regulations.

Is the Andrea dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type chosen and the dimmer model installed on the circuit.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Andrea takes nine E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient dining or hallway light. The fabric shades work best with candle or golf ball bulb shapes rather than standard GLS bulbs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop of 800-2000mm allows the Andrea to suit ceiling heights from 2.7m upwards. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.7-3m ceilings. Higher ceilings can use the full 2000mm drop for a more dramatic entrance hall installation.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chain length is set during installation by removing links to shorten the drop or leaving the full chain for the maximum 2000mm. Once installed the drop is fixed until the chandelier is taken down and refitted with a different chain length.
