Description

The Andrea is a 1000mm 8-light chandelier built around a central polished chrome column from which eight curved chrome arms radiate outward, each supporting a cream fabric drum shade and an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). Black crystal teardrop accents hang between the arms and along the lower frame, adding weight and visual punctuation to the polished metal structure.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Andrea provides both ambient and decorative lighting across a 1000mm diameter spread. The adjustable drop ranges from 800mm to 2000mm, allowing the chandelier to be set between 600-800mm above a dining table or lowered further in double-height spaces. The polished chrome finish reflects both daylight and artificial light, intensifying the sense of brightness in the room and making the chandelier appear larger than its physical footprint.

Each of the eight cream shades diffuses the light from its E14 bulb, softening shadows and distributing an even wash across the ceiling and surrounding walls. The black crystal droplets provide tonal contrast against the chrome and cream palette, grounding the design and preventing it from appearing too light or insubstantial. The chandelier weighs 7.7kg once assembled, requiring a ceiling rose and fixing capable of supporting that load plus a safety margin. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no electronic components that restrict dimming.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 800mm minimum drop suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above when the chandelier is hung above a dining table (typically 600-800mm above the surface). Higher ceilings can accommodate the full 2000mm drop for a more dramatic presentation in entrance halls or double-height spaces.

How is the height adjusted?

The drop is adjusted during installation by shortening the suspension chain and concealing excess cable within the ceiling canopy. Once fitted, the height is fixed until the chandelier is taken down and re-adjusted.
