Description

The Andes is an anthracite outdoor wall light with an integrated 6W LED that casts 550 lumens of warm 3000K light back against the wall surface. The angled arm projects 75mm from the wall and directs light downwards and outwards in a 112° beam, creating a wash effect that highlights architectural textures on render, brick, stone or timber cladding.

Rated IP65 against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, the Andes suits installation on exterior walls exposed to UK weather including rain, snow and coastal spray. Common applications include either side of front doors, alongside garage doors, lighting pathways between gardens and driveways, and illuminating patios or terraces after dark. The 290mm height and compact 110mm width fit standard brick courses without dominating the wall plane.

The anthracite powder-coat finish is a near-black grey that pairs neutrally with dark render, charcoal cladding, grey brick and black window frames, while providing contrast against lighter finishes such as white render or cream stone. The angular form reads as a folded metal blade emerging from the wall rather than a traditional box or cylinder fitting. The integrated LED is factory-fitted and non-replaceable, rated at 6W consumption equivalent to a traditional 40-50W halogen for significantly lower running cost over the 3-year warranty period.

Is the Andes suitable for coastal locations?

The IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust, making the fitting suitable for coastal areas exposed to salt spray and wind-driven rain. Regular rinsing with fresh water will reduce salt build-up on the powder-coat finish.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated and factory-fitted. The unit is designed as a sealed, non-serviceable fitting with a 3-year warranty covering the LED lifespan.

What does the light pattern look like on the wall?

The 112° beam angle produces a wide wash of light that spreads downwards and outwards from the angled arm, highlighting wall texture and creating a soft halo effect rather than a narrow spotlight beam.

Does it need an external driver or transformer?

No. The fitting operates directly on 220-240V mains with the driver built into the wall-mounted enclosure. Standard mains wiring is all that's required for installation.
