Description

The Amelia is a 390mm square flush ceiling light with an integrated 21W LED panel delivering 1700 lumens at 4000K cool white. The centre features a clear acrylic diffuser bordered by a dense layer of cut crystal squares set within a polished chrome frame, creating reflective texture around the perimeter while the centre casts even, functional light across the room.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Amelia suits hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (check IP rating), kitchens and home offices requiring bright, neutral-toned light. The 72mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting unobtrusive in rooms with restricted headroom. The 4000K colour temperature provides clean, task-friendly illumination closer to daylight than the warmer 2700-3000K tones typical of domestic ambient lighting.

The crystal border consists of small square-cut glass pieces that catch ceiling-mounted light sources from adjacent rooms and reflect ambient daylight during the day, adding decorative interest when the fitting is switched off. The polished chrome frame provides a mirrored finish that pairs with chrome taps, handles and appliances in kitchens and bathrooms, or with mirrored furniture and glass-topped tables in bedrooms and living areas. At 5kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a spreading plate across multiple joists.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which translates to around 10-15 years at typical domestic usage levels of 4-6 hours per day.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe the crystal border and chrome frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing moisture into the LED housing. Do not use spray cleaners or abrasive materials on the chrome or crystal.
