Amara 8 Light K9 Crystal Empire Chandelier - Chrome

The Amara is an 8-light empire-silhouette crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome frame, measuring 83.8cm wide and 99.1cm tall. A tall inner basket of densely-strung K9 crystal beads forms the core, encircled by a wider outer ring that supports cascading strands of faceted crystal sweeping outward and back down to a single crystal finial. Eight G9 lamp holders sit within the lower bowl, casting light through the layered crystal.

This is a large-scale fitting designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, formal dining rooms over a large table, and open-plan living rooms with ceilings of 3m or higher. The 150cm cable allows the chandelier to hang well below the canopy, which suits stairwell drops and tall foyers where the fitting is viewed from multiple levels. With eight 40W G9 bulbs (sold separately) the Amara provides substantial ambient output across a room of 25m² or more.

The double-layer construction is what distinguishes the Amara from a standard empire chandelier. The inner basket reads as a complete fitting in its own right, while the outer cage of looped crystal strands adds a second tier of reflection and sparkle, giving the piece visible depth from every viewing angle. What bulbs does the Amara take?

The chandelier takes eight G9 capsule bulbs rated up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. G9 LED capsules in 2700K-3000K warm white are a popular choice as they reduce heat near the crystal and lower running costs while maintaining the sparkle of the K9 glass.

What ceiling height is needed?

At 99.1cm tall plus the 150cm cable drop, the Amara is designed for ceilings of 3m or higher, including double-height halls and stairwells. The cable can be shortened on installation if a lower drop is required, but the fitting itself remains close to 1m in height regardless.

Is it dimmable?

The Amara works on standard mains and can be paired with a dimmer when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. Compatibility depends on both the bulb and the dimmer module — please confirm the specific dimmer is rated for low-load LED before installing if using LED capsules.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully before cleaning. The K9 crystal beads can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth or a dedicated crystal cleaner sprayed onto the cloth rather than the chandelier directly. Avoid soaking the strands or letting moisture reach the lamp holders or chrome frame.
