Description

The Alton is a large LED picture light with a 66cm tubular arm in polished chrome, mounted on a circular backplate with an adjustable pivot. An integrated 7W LED strip inside the tube casts a downward wash of light across artwork hung directly below, eliminating shadows and reducing glare on the canvas or frame.

Designed for large paintings, prints and mirrors between 60-90cm wide, the Alton mounts above the artwork on a standard UK flush wall box or surface pattress, with the cable concealed behind the art. The adjustable arm allows the light to be angled closer to or further from the wall, depending on the frame depth and the desired spread of light. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathrooms and other moisture-prone areas where art or mirrors are mounted.

The polished chrome finish gives a mirror-like reflective surface that pairs with modern, contemporary and minimalist interiors, and matches chrome-finished bathroom fittings, door furniture and mirror frames. The integrated LED operates at 3000K warm white, providing accurate colour rendering without the yellow cast of older halogen picture lights. At 66cm arm length, the Alton suits larger pieces that would be under-lit by a standard 30-40cm picture light.
