Description
The Alpine is an anthracite outdoor wall light with a 6W integrated LED that projects warm 3000K light outward at approximately 45 degrees to the mounting surface. The angular arm directs the 510-lumen output down and away from the wall, casting light across facades, terraces and pathways rather than straight out into a viewer's line of sight. The 110° beam angle spreads the light broadly once it leaves the fitting, reducing harsh shadows and creating even illumination over a 2-3m radius at ground level.
Rated IP65, the Alpine withstands rain, coastal moisture and wind-blown dust, making it suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered porches, garden boundary walls and entrance areas. The die-cast aluminium body is finished in anthracite, a dark grey powder-coat that sits between matt black and medium grey, pairing well with masonry, timber cladding and steel-framed architecture. The compact 100mm width and 165mm height suit contemporary house fronts, modern extensions and commercial building entrances where a strong architectural form is preferred over decorative detailing.
The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use at 6W draw. At three hours per evening, that equates to roughly 22 years before output drops to 70% of original brightness. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs on standard 230V mains. Installation requires surface mounting onto an exterior-rated junction box with the cable entering from the rear of the fitting. The anthracite finish requires minimal maintenance — an occasional wipe with a damp cloth removes airborne dirt and coastal salt spray.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in coastal locations?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust ingress, making it suitable for coastal installations. The anthracite powder-coat finish resists salt spray corrosion better than bare metal, though periodic cleaning with fresh water will extend the finish life in harsh marine environments.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours, which equates to around 22 years at three hours per evening before output drops to 70% of original brightness.
What area does it illuminate?
The 45-degree projection and 110° beam angle produce a broad wash of light covering approximately 2-3m radius at ground level when mounted at standard door-height (around 2m). The light spreads across walls and pathways rather than projecting straight out, making it more effective for ambient lighting than spot illumination.
How is it wired?
The fitting mounts onto a standard UK exterior-rated junction box with the mains cable entering from the rear of the fitting. The fitting requires a qualified electrician for installation and connection to the 230V supply.
