Description
This ceramic trinket box takes its design from Alice in Wonderland and puts The Queen of Hearts herself at the centre, gathering up her skirts with a heart sceptre raised. The body is a soft pale blue, glazed all over, with the scene drawn in deeper blue and white line work: trailing leaves, talking flowers with little faces, and a heart-shaped topiary dotted with roses. The words Her Royal Majesty and The Queen of Hearts curve around the side in white lettering. A beige lid sits on top, finished with a sculpted rose that doubles as the handle. It stands about 12cm tall and 12cm across, with a rounded body that swells gently towards the base.
We think it belongs on a dressing table or bedside cabinet, where a ring, a pair of earrings or a favourite necklace can be dropped in at the end of the day and found again in the morning. It holds the small things that otherwise go missing: hair grips, cufflinks, spare buttons and safety pins. It sits just as happily on a bookshelf or mantelpiece, and the pale blue and beige colouring settles easily into a bedroom, a dressing room or a reading corner. Its lid keeps dust off whatever you tuck inside.
The box is made from glazed ceramic, and the inside is a smooth pale blue to match. The lid has a lip underneath that settles inside the rim, so it sits neatly in place and lifts straight off by the rose. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe it over with a damp cloth when needed, drying it afterwards. Tuck a piece of jewellery inside before you wrap it and it makes a charming gift, or keep it for yourself as a small nod to a story that has never quite let go.

How big is the trinket box?
It stands about 12cm tall and measures about 12cm across, a compact size for a dressing table, bedside cabinet or shelf.
What is the trinket box made from?
It is made from ceramic with a glazed finish. The body and inside are pale blue, and the lid is beige, topped by a sculpted rose.
Does the lid come off?
Yes, the beige lid lifts straight off by its rose handle, and a lip underneath settles inside the rim so it sits neatly in place.

How should I clean it?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe it with a damp cloth when needed, then dry it. That is general good practice for glazed ceramic.
What can I keep in it?
