Description

The Aleron Extra Small is a 300mm round alabaster flush ceiling light cut from natural Spanish alabaster, sitting just 50mm proud of the ceiling with a brushed brass centre detail. An integrated 20W LED behind the stone casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, so the stone itself becomes the diffuser and the only visible light source on the ceiling.

The 50mm projection makes this fitting suitable for rooms with low ceilings, hallways, landings, walk-in wardrobes, smaller bedrooms and en-suites where a pendant or semi-flush would sit too low. The 300mm diameter gives enough light spread for spaces up to around 6-8 square metres when used as the primary ceiling fitting, or as supplementary lighting in larger rooms. The fitting attaches to a standard UK ceiling rose position.

Each alabaster disc is cut from a single block of stone, so the veining and tonal variation differ from piece to piece. Held against an off-white or plaster ceiling, the soft white tone of the alabaster reads as a quiet textural detail when unlit, then warms noticeably once switched on. The brushed brass centre punctuates the disc with a small warm-metallic anchor, picking up other brass fittings or ironmongery in the room without dominating the form.

Is the Aleron suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The fitting projects only 50mm from the ceiling, making it one of the more compact options for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m, hallways, landings and lofts where a pendant or semi-flush would intrude into headroom.

What size room does the 300mm Aleron suit?

The 20W integrated LED at 3000K covers spaces up to around 6-8 square metres as a primary ceiling light. For larger rooms, the Aleron also works well as supplementary lighting alongside other fittings, or paired with a second Aleron for even coverage.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

This fitting does not have a published IP rating, so we do not recommend installing it in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2. It is suitable for bedrooms, hallways, landings, living rooms and en-suite areas outside the splash zones.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral patterns and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect, and becomes most visible once the LED is switched on.
