Description

The Albers is a 216mm flush ceiling light with a tapered opal glass shade that narrows from a 216mm base to a narrower top, held by a champagne bronze canopy mounted directly to the ceiling. The opal glass diffuses light evenly across the room while the champagne bronze finish adds a warm metallic accent without the shine of polished brass or the coolness of chrome.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m, hallways, landings, utility rooms and bedrooms where pendant lights would sit too low, the Albers provides ambient light from a fitting that projects just 259mm from the ceiling surface. The single E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 40W, giving flexibility to choose light temperature and brightness to suit the space.

The tapered glass shade casts light in a wide cone pattern rather than focusing it downward, making the fitting suitable for general room lighting rather than task lighting. The champagne bronze finish works with both warm and cool interior palettes and pairs particularly well with grey, off-white and soft green wall colours. The 216mm diameter makes it suitable for ceiling roses from 100-150mm and for installation in spaces where a larger flush fitting would feel visually heavy.

The Albers is designed for low ceilings and compact spaces. With a 259mm projection from the ceiling surface, it works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upward, including hallways, landings and bedrooms where pendant lights would hang too low.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED bulb in 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light, though cooler temperatures can be used in utility areas or home offices.

Is the opal glass removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The opal glass shade detaches from the champagne bronze canopy to allow bulb replacement. The shade is secured by a threaded ring or clips depending on the specific Kichler production batch, but removal does not require tools.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?
