Description

The AKVEN LED is a flush, recessed in-ground light that sets into the surface and is walked or driven over, throwing its beam upward to graze a wall, tree or façade. It takes a 12V MR16 lamp on a Gx5.3 base and runs at a maximum of 35W, giving around 300 lumens of warm 3000K light across a wide 120° spread. For buyers in the US this is the well light or in-grade format, sitting level with the ground rather than standing proud of it. The round body measures Ø72 mm and the light source faces up to deliver an uplighting wash from a low, unobtrusive fixture.

Set into paths, patios, decking, borders and driveways, the AKVEN suits any spot where a raised fitting would be in the way or at risk of being knocked. The upward 120° beam picks out planting, brickwork, columns and garden features, so it works as accent and façade grazing rather than as general area lighting. Because it is an uplighter and not an ambient ceiling fitting, its output is best judged by the throw and the surface it washes rather than by a floor coverage figure. Yes, it is designed to sit flush with the ground and take foot and vehicle traffic, making it suitable for paths, decking and driveways. Set it level with the finished surface so nothing protrudes. Bed it on a firm, well-drained base to support the load over time.

Yes. The AKVEN is rated IP68, which means it is fully sealed against dust and can handle exposed outdoor sites, standing water and burial. This makes it appropriate for in-ground installation where drainage and weather are a factor.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the lens with a soft, damp cloth to clear soil, grit and surface debris that can dull the upward beam. Avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the cover. Clearing leaves and dirt from around the recess also helps drainage and keeps the output bright.
