Description

The Aire is a 707mm semi-flush ceiling light built around six curved metal arms that sweep outward from a central polished chrome canopy. Each arm follows a ribbon-like arc, finished in silver on the upper surface and housing a frosted white acrylic diffuser on the underside. An integrated 42W LED array inside the diffusers delivers 3700 lumens of 3000K warm white light across a 120° beam angle.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights, the 250mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting compact enough for rooms where a full pendant would hang too low. The six-arm configuration distributes light evenly across a 4-5m space, making the Aire suitable for typical British living rooms and master bedrooms. The dimmable driver is compatible with leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, allowing the output to be reduced from full brightness to a soft ambient glow.

The silver finish on the upper arm surfaces provides a subtle metallic accent without the high reflectivity of polished chrome or brass, sitting comfortably in both contemporary neutral schemes and rooms with warmer tones. The frosted diffusers eliminate LED hotspots and create a continuous wash of light rather than discrete points. The polished chrome canopy anchors the composition visually and covers a standard UK ceiling rose, with the wiring run concealed inside the central column. At 1.7kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings.

Yes. The integrated LED driver is compatible with leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers. Check the dimmer manufacturer's specification to confirm compatibility with LED loads before installation. Incompatible dimmers may cause flickering or restricted dimming range.

What room size does it suit?

The 707mm diameter and 3700 lumen output suit rooms of approximately 16-25 square metres, equivalent to a typical 4m x 5m living room or master bedroom. The 120° beam angle provides even coverage across the ceiling plane.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 250mm projection from ceiling to base works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings and above. In lower-ceiling rooms the semi-flush mounting keeps the fitting closer to the ceiling than a pendant would, reducing the risk of headroom issues.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED array is integrated into the fixture and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10 years of typical domestic use at 8 hours per day. Mantra provides a 3-year warranty covering the LED and driver.
