Description
This addressable LED strip puts each section of cool white light under individual control, so a single run can be sequenced, chased or animated through a compatible controller while staying a clean 4000K throughout. In US terms this is a digital led strip light or pixel tape, here built for white-only effects rather than colour change. It draws 11W per metre and gives 1100 lumens per metre, supplied on a 5 metre flexible reel that cuts to length every 10 cm at the marked points. The strip runs on a 24V DC supply, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver rather than a direct mains connection.
Because the light is delivered in addressable segments, this strip suits dynamic accent and feature runs where movement matters more than flat ambient fill: cove and ceiling perimeters, stair edges, signage outlines, display joinery and façade detailing. Coverage is best judged by the effect rather than a room area, since each segment can be lit, dimmed or sequenced independently along the run. With an IP65 rating it carries outdoors as readily as indoors, so the same tape works under a soffit, along a pergola or around an exposed canopy. Plan the layout in 10 cm steps and keep the driver sized to the total metreage powered from each feed.
The strip is rated IP65 for weatherproof use in exposed and wet locations, with a coated profile that resists splashes and damp. Colour rendering is strong at Ra 90, so finishes and surfaces it grazes stay true under the cool white tone. Rated life is 30,000 hours and the reel weighs 128 g across its 5 metre length. Cut only at the marked 10 cm intervals, then connect each length to a 24V DC driver and addressable controller. We also stock the matching drivers and controllers needed to complete an addressable run.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not a mains-direct fitting and needs a matching 24V LED driver. Size the driver to the total wattage of the run you power from each feed, allowing 11W for every metre connected.
Where can I cut the strip?
The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 10 cm. Only cut on these intervals to keep each addressable segment working correctly, then make the connection at the cut end.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP65, which makes it weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations such as soffits, pergolas and canopy edges, as well as indoor coves and joinery.
Is this a colour-changing strip?
No. This is a single-tone cool white strip at 4000K, with per-pixel control of white light only for chasing and sequenced effects. It does not change colour, and a compatible addressable controller is needed to drive those effects.
