Description

The Adastra BP6V-B is a 100V line background speaker built for outdoor and humid settings. It uses a 6.5" main driver with a water resistant polypropylene (PP) cone, paired with a tweeter that has a polymer diaphragm for reliable running where moisture is a factor. The cabinet is a moulded ABS enclosure finished with a powder coated aluminium grille, and the whole unit carries an IP54 weatherproof rating. It comes in black and is supplied singly.

This is the weatherproof version of the well regarded BC series 100V PA speakers. A rotary selector switch on the unit lets you set the 100V line tappings or run it at 8 Ohms, so you can match the speaker to your amplifier and adjust the power draw across a run of speakers. Connection is through a 1m hard-wired lead, which keeps the IP protection intact all the way back to a junction box or an indoor area. The operating temperature range runs from -5°C to +40°C.

Mounting is straightforward. A wall mounting bracket comes in the box, and there are alternative M6 threaded mounting points if you need a different fixing method. That makes the BP6V-B a practical choice for covered outdoor areas, walkways, garden bars, forecourts and other spots where standard indoor speakers would not last. It gives clear sound reproduction across a wide range of environments without any fuss over installation.
