Description

This 150x75cm canvas depicts an abstract reeds design in warm gold, bronze and grey tones, hand-finished with raised impasto texture and scattered glitter accents. The composition shows vertical reed forms rising from a misty base, created with layered paint that builds depth and catches light at different angles. The canvas is stretched over a 4cm-deep wooden frame and hangs landscape-only via two integral hooks on the reverse.

Can this canvas hang vertically?

No. The composition is designed for landscape orientation only and the integral hooks on the reverse are positioned for horizontal hanging. Hanging the canvas vertically would misalign the visual composition and place stress on fixings not designed for that orientation.

What wall fixings are needed?

The canvas weighs 2.65kg and has two integral hooks on the reverse. You will need two wall fixings rated for at least 2kg each, spaced to match the hook positions. Wall fixings are not included. Use appropriate fixings for your wall type — screws and rawl plugs for masonry, cavity fixings for plasterboard.

Will each canvas look identical?

No. Each canvas is hand-finished with impasto texture and glitter accents, so the exact placement and density of texture and glitter varies between pieces. This is a characteristic of the hand-finished process, not a defect.

How is the canvas cleaned?

Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or microfibre cloth. Do not use water, chemical cleaners or glass cleaner on the painted surface, as these can damage the impasto texture and dissolve the glitter adhesive. Avoid touching the painted surface with bare hands to prevent transferring oils onto the canvas.
