What bulbs does the Abbey take?

The fabric shade diffuses the light, so filament-style decorative bulbs are not necessary unless you want them visible from below.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 260mm drop from ceiling to shade base works in rooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m-2.7m. In rooms above 2.7m the fitting can look a little compressed against the ceiling; in rooms below 2.3m it may hang slightly lower than ideal. Measure from your ceiling to ensure at least 2.1m clearance below the shade base for safe head clearance.

Can the shade be cleaned?

The pleated fabric shade should be dusted regularly with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a handheld vacuum on low suction with a soft brush attachment works well. Avoid wetting the fabric or using spray cleaners, as moisture can mark or discolour the pleats.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs you fit. If you install dimmable LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the Abbey can be dimmed. Check that your dimmer is rated for LED loads and matches the total wattage of the bulbs you install.
