Description

Four G9 capsules sit in a row along a slim bar, giving a warm 2700K light that spreads across a wall rather than pooling at the centre. A toggle switch on the body works it directly, and it will dim where a compatible dimmer is fitted; that dimmer is bought separately. Turned right down it settles to little more than a glow, which suits late evenings in a quiet room. The capsules are supplied and they are replaceable, so a failure means a quick swap rather than a new fitting.

At 60cm across, it covers a broad canvas or a long stretch of wall without asking for another fitting. We reach for it above pictures and prints, over a sideboard, or in a hallway where a pendant would hang too low to be comfortable. The warm tone flatters oils, framed photographs and paper alike, and it keeps good company with lamplight in a sitting room or study. Ordinary household mains is all it asks, and it belongs indoors, in rooms that stay dry.

Satin black is a deep, understated black that sits back against dark walls and holds its own against pale ones. Let it cool after use before wiping the bar down with a dry cloth; nothing damp and nothing abrasive. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same bar in satin nickel and antique brass, in cooler colour temperatures for kitchens and workrooms, and in a shorter length for smaller frames, so rooms can be kept consistent without matching sizes.
