Description

The Knightsbridge 6ft LED batten is a 1790mm pressed steel and polycarbonate fitting with adjustable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K or 5700K), adjustable wattage (27W or 52W), integrated microwave presence detection, and self-test emergency function. The batten outputs between 3,750lm and 7,520lm depending on the selected wattage and CCT combination, with the highest output at 52W and 4000K. The opal diffuser provides even light distribution across the full 1790mm length.

Designed as a direct replacement for twin-tube fluorescent battens in commercial, industrial and residential settings, the fitting mounts on standard 600mm fixing centres and is compatible with BESA box ceiling installations. The microwave sensor allows the batten to function as automated corridor, stairwell or garage lighting, switching to full output when presence is detected and dimming or switching off after a set period. The self-test emergency mode conducts automatic function and duration tests on the internal battery, providing compliant emergency lighting without manual intervention.

The hinged gear tray and push-fit loop-in loop-out terminals allow single-step installation without removing the diffuser or dismantling the fitting. Rear and end conduit fixing points accommodate rigid conduit runs from above or from the side. The pressed steel body measures 61mm wide by 71mm deep, giving a low-profile ceiling-mount appearance. At 52W the batten achieves 165.5lm/W efficacy and carries a Class I electrical rating with IP20 ingress protection, suitable for dry indoor environments. The 5-year warranty excludes the emergency battery.

The batten has selector switches accessible from the hinged gear tray. CCT is selectable between 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white) and 5700K (daylight white). Wattage toggles between 27W for lower-ceiling or smaller spaces and 52W for higher output in larger areas. Both settings are adjusted during installation before the diffuser is closed.
