Description
This Knightsbridge recessed brick light houses a 5W blue LED behind a die-cast aluminium body with a brushed steel fascia and two interchangeable faceplates: one plain, one louvred grill. The IP54 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and water splashes, making it suitable for outdoor installation in brick walls, rendered facades, and covered porches. The integrated LED casts blue ambient light across approximately 150° beam angle at 80 lumens.
Designed for outdoor accent lighting on pathways, driveways, garden walls and building facades, the brick light recesses into a 226x86x70mm cut-out box, leaving the brushed steel bezel flush with the wall surface. The plain faceplate provides an open aperture with maximum light output, while the louvred grill faceplate directs the blue light horizontally in five parallel bands, reducing upward and downward spill. Both faceplates are supplied with the unit and can be swapped without re-wiring.
The die-cast aluminium body resists corrosion in outdoor conditions and the 201 stainless steel bezel holds the glass diffuser in place. The fixture runs directly on 230V mains without requiring a separate driver or transformer, and connects via Class I earthed wiring. At 5W, running costs are minimal for permanent installation as driveway or pathway markers. The blue LED output is not dimmable.

Frequently Asked
What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?
IP54 means the fitting is protected from dust ingress (IP5X) and water splashes from any direction (IPX4). It can be installed on exterior walls, but should not be submerged or exposed to direct high-pressure water jets. The rating is suitable for pathways, driveways, covered porches and garden walls.
Which faceplate should I use?
The plain faceplate gives maximum light output with a full 150° beam spread. The louvred grill faceplate restricts the beam to five horizontal bands, reducing upward spill into windows and downward spill onto the ground. Most driveway and pathway installations use the grill to direct light horizontally along the wall.
Does it need a driver or transformer?
No. The brick light runs directly on 230V mains power. It must be wired through a Class I earthed connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
What depth of wall cavity is required?
A minimum 70mm recess depth is needed behind the wall surface to accommodate the cut-out box. Standard UK cavity walls provide sufficient depth. Solid walls require a 226x86x70mm chase to be cut into the brickwork or render.
