Description

This Knightsbridge 5m HDMI 2.0 cable connects HDMI-A source devices to HDMI-A displays, supporting resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz with HDR colour processing. The cable carries 18Gbps bandwidth, which is sufficient for UHD content at full frame rate, 3D video signals, and Audio Return Channel (ARC) from compatible TVs and soundbars.

Designed for home cinema installations, gaming setups and AV installations where the display sits 4-5m from the source device, the 5m length accommodates wall-mounted TVs, projectors mounted at the rear of a room, or rack-mounted AV equipment in a separate cupboard from the viewing area. The cable supports HDCP 2.2 copy protection, making it compatible with streaming devices, 4K Blu-ray players, game consoles and set-top boxes that enforce content protection.

The cable uses a nylon-braided outer jacket over the PVC core, which resists abrasion and kinking when routed behind furniture, through cable conduits or along skirting boards. Gold-plated connectors at both ends reduce oxidation on the contact surfaces and provide consistent signal transfer over time. Over-moulded strain relief at each connector prevents the cable from separating from the plug body when pulled or bent near the connection point.

HDMI 2.0 certification means the cable meets the bandwidth and signal integrity requirements set by the HDMI Forum for 4K at 60Hz transmission. The ARC support allows a compatible TV to send audio back down the same cable to a soundbar or AV receiver, removing the need for a separate optical audio cable in most installations.
