Designed to replace traditional 5ft fluorescent fittings, the batten mounts directly to ceilings or walls using the included fixing accessories and 12 lockable clips that secure the diffuser against the polycarbonate base. The IP65 rating allows installation in damp environments including cold stores, car washes, covered walkways and external loading bays where exposure to moisture or dust would degrade standard battens. The 4000K cool white output provides functional visibility for task areas, circulation routes and external perimeters.

The polycarbonate construction offers impact resistance in high-traffic or industrial settings where metal fittings might dent or plastic crack. How long does the emergency function last?

The integrated emergency backup provides 3 hours of reduced light output during mains power failure. The emergency battery charges automatically when mains power is connected and meets UK emergency lighting standards for maintained or non-maintained operation.

Can this be installed outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor locations such as canopies, loading bays, covered walkways and external storage areas. It is not rated for full submersion or direct prolonged exposure to rain without overhead cover.
