Description

The Knightsbridge 4W LED striplight is a 277mm white polycarbonate batten housing an integrated 3000K warm white LED that outputs 310 lumens. The fitting connects to 230V mains via a 2m integral cable and includes an independent switch, mounting clips, and a coupler for linking multiple units end-to-end or via optional leads.

Designed for under-cabinet task lighting, display shelving, and wardrobe interiors, the striplight can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on the space available. Up to 12 fittings can be linked from a single power source, allowing continuous runs across kitchen worktops, retail shelving or workshop benches without needing multiple mains feeds. The opal diffuser softens the LED source and gives an even light spread across the 145-degree beam angle.

The polycarbonate body measures 22.8mm wide by 36mm deep, sitting close to the mounting surface without protruding far from the underside of a cabinet or shelf. The white finish blends with most kitchen and retail interiors. The Class II rating means the fitting does not require an earth connection, simplifying installation where earth cables are not available. IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only.

At 4W per unit, a full 12-unit run draws 48W total — roughly equivalent to a single old-style halogen downlight — while providing distributed task light across several metres. The LED has an L70B50 lifespan of 54,000 hours, meaning the light output degrades to 70% of initial brightness after approximately 6 years of continuous use.
