Description
The Knightsbridge 4W LED candle bulb uses LED filament technology inside a clear glass envelope to replicate the appearance of a traditional incandescent candle lamp. The E14 small Edison screw base fits standard UK candelabra fittings, chandeliers, wall lights and table lamps requiring a 35mm diameter candle-profile bulb. The exposed filament lines glow warm amber when lit, delivering 485 lumens at 2700K colour temperature.
Designed as a direct replacement for 40W incandescent candle bulbs, the 4W LED reduces energy consumption by 90% while providing comparable light output. The 330-degree beam angle makes it suitable for open-shade fittings where the bulb is partially or fully visible, as the filament itself becomes part of the decorative effect. The bulb is dimmable on most trailing-edge dimmers, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low ambient glow.
The clear glass envelope measures 35mm diameter and 98mm overall height, fitting within the canopy height of most compact chandeliers and wall sconces. The L70B50 rating of 15,000 hours indicates the bulb will maintain at least 70% of its original brightness after 15,000 hours of use, equating to approximately 10 years at 4 hours per day. The CRI of greater than 80 ensures warm-toned fabrics and wood finishes render accurately under the 2700K light.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes. The bulb is compatible with most trailing-edge dimmers. Knightsbridge recommends checking compatibility with your specific dimmer model before installation, as some older leading-edge dimmers may cause flickering or limited dimming range.
What fitting does it use?
This bulb uses an E14 small Edison screw base, also known as SES. This is the smaller of the two standard UK screw bases and is commonly found in chandeliers, candelabra-style wall lights and decorative table lamps with narrow lamp holders.
What colour temperature is the light?
The bulb emits warm white light at 2700K, similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. This creates a warm amber glow that suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms where a cosy atmosphere is preferred over cooler daylight tones.
How long does it last?
The L70B50 rating of 15,000 hours means the bulb will maintain at least 70% of its original 485-lumen output after 15,000 hours of use. At 4 hours per day, this equates to approximately 10 years of service life before noticeable dimming occurs.
