Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP switch is a double pole cooker control switch with a red neon indicator showing when the circuit is live. The switch isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing safe isolation for maintenance and repair of high-draw cooking appliances. The polished chrome faceplate uses a rounded edge design with a built-in gasket that sits flush against the wall surface.

Designed for kitchen installation where electric cookers, ovens and hobs draw up to 45A (10,350W) on a 230V supply, the switch allows the appliance to be isolated without going to the consumer unit. The 2-gang faceplate size (146.5mm height × 85.75mm width) gives a larger switch rocker than a single-gang equivalent, making it easier to operate when hands are wet or when wearing oven gloves. The neon indicator provides visual confirmation that the circuit is live, so you know the appliance is capable of being switched on.

The polished chrome finish is a mirror-polish grade steel that reflects light and pairs cleanly with stainless steel appliances, chrome cabinet handles and modern kitchen fittings. The rounded edge design reduces the visual weight of the switch compared to a squared-edge profile and creates a softer transition from wall to faceplate. The built-in gasket behind the faceplate prevents moisture ingress around the edge, maintaining the IP20 rating.
