Description

The Knightsbridge FLN30 is a 30W LED floodlight built around a die-cast aluminium body with a clear polycarbonate front panel, rated IP65 for outdoor installation. The integrated LED delivers 3330lm at 4000K cool white, with a 100° beam angle suited to area lighting across driveways, pathways, building facades and garden zones. The floodlight runs directly on 230V mains without requiring an external driver box.

Designed for wall or ground mounting using the included adjustable bracket, the floodlight can be angled to direct light onto vertical or horizontal surfaces. The fast-fix cable connector on the rear allows mains cable to be terminated directly into the unit without needing a separate junction box, reducing external wiring and simplifying weatherproof installation. Optional PIR or microwave motion sensors can be added to the unit as accessories, converting it to security lighting that activates on detected movement.

The die-cast aluminium body provides structural rigidity and passive heat dissipation for the LED, extending the L70B50 lifespan to 30,000 hours of continuous operation. The black powder-coat finish resists UV degradation and corrosion in coastal or wet climates. At 160mm wide and 142mm tall, the floodlight provides functional area lighting without the bulk of higher-wattage commercial units, making it suitable for residential garden lighting, garage entrances and small trade premises.

Can a PIR sensor be added to this floodlight?

Yes. Knightsbridge offers optional PIR and microwave motion sensors as accessories for the FLN30. These convert the floodlight into security lighting that activates on detected movement. The sensors mount directly to the unit and retain the IP65 weatherproof rating when fitted.

What area does 3330 lumens cover?

At 3330lm with a 100° beam angle, the FLN30 provides functional task lighting across 15-25m² when mounted at 2.5-3m height, suitable for a single-width driveway, a small garden patio, or a pathway section. For larger areas, multiple units can be zoned.

Is the floodlight suitable for coastal locations?

The die-cast aluminium body and black powder-coat finish resist corrosion in wet and salt-air environments. The IP65 rating protects the internal LED and wiring from rain, spray and airborne particles. For direct coastal exposure, periodic inspection of the mounting bracket and cable glands is recommended.

Does it need an external driver or transformer?

No. The LED runs directly on 230V mains. The fast-fix cable connector on the rear allows mains cable to be terminated into the unit without needing an external junction box or driver enclosure.
