Description
This Knightsbridge 3-light ceiling spotlight plate mounts three independently adjustable GU10 fittings on a 160mm diameter matt black base plate. Each cylindrical head tilts through 90° and rotates 350° on chrome-accented pivot joints, allowing light to be directed onto work surfaces, walls, or specific zones within a room. The plate replaces a standard ceiling rose and connects to mains wiring via a terminal block inside the base.
Designed for kitchens, home offices, hallways and retail environments where directed task lighting is needed without recessed downlights, the three-head plate suits rooms with solid ceilings or where cutting into the ceiling structure is not an option. Each GU10 socket accepts halogen or LED lamps up to 50W (lamps sold separately), giving flexibility to choose the beam angle, colour temperature and dimming capability that suits the application. The plate sits 125mm proud of the ceiling when the heads are angled outward.
The matt black pressed steel construction provides a durable low-sheen finish that pairs cleanly with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The chrome pivot collars on each head add a contrasting metallic accent without overwhelming the black base. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. The plate carries a Class I earth connection for safety and includes mounting hardware for installation onto a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The plate takes three GU10 bulbs up to 50W each (sold separately). Most users pair this with GU10 LED bulbs between 4-7W and 3000K-4000K for task lighting in kitchens or offices. Beam angle choices (38°, 60°, 120°) affect how wide the light spreads.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted. If you use dimmable GU10 LEDs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the plate can be dimmed. Non-dimmable bulbs or incompatible dimmers will not dim reliably.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is for dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher rated fittings depending on the zone.
How far does each head adjust?
Each head tilts through 90° from the horizontal plane and rotates 350° around its pivot joint. This allows light to be directed almost anywhere within the room except directly behind the fitting.
