Description

The PROFILO B is a 2 metre surface-mounted aluminium channel that gives an LED strip a tidy, durable home. Made from anodised aluminium alloy with a slim 12.2 × 7 mm profile, it lets a flexible strip sit recessed inside the channel behind a diffuser so the individual diodes are softened into an even line of light. The profile itself does not light up; it carries the strip, helps draw heat away and protects the tape along its run.

Type B is a low-profile surface channel for under-cabinet edges, shelf fronts, coving and skirting where a discreet finish matters. Supplied as a pack of 10, each length measures 2000 mm and can be cut down to suit shorter spans. We also stock matching diffusers, end caps and the LED strip that fits inside, so you can complete the run from one place.

What width of LED strip does this profile fit?

The Type B channel has an internal bay sized for standard flexible LED strips up to roughly 10 mm wide. Check your strip width against the 12.2 mm overall profile before fitting to be sure it seats neatly behind the diffuser.

Is this a surface or recessed profile?

This is a surface-mounted profile, fixed directly onto a flat surface such as a shelf edge, cabinet underside or wall. It does not require a routed groove or recess to install.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. Each 2000 mm length can be cut down with a fine-tooth saw or mitre to fit shorter runs or corner joins. Cut at the points needed and dress the edges before fitting the diffuser.

Is a diffuser included?

This listing covers the aluminium channel only, supplied as a pack of 10. Matching diffusers and end caps are stocked separately so you can choose the finish that suits your strip.
