Description

This Type F aluminium channel houses an LED strip and gives it a neat, finished line. Each length is 2 metres with a 12 x 12 mm section, made from aluminium alloy in an anodised finish for a clean, hard-wearing look. The strip sits inside the channel and a diffuser clips over the top to spread the light evenly and hide the individual diodes. The profile itself is passive hardware and does not light up; it carries and protects the strip behind the diffuser.

Type F is a slim surface-mounted profile suited to under-cabinet runs, shelving, coving and worktop edges, and the aluminium body helps draw heat away from the strip for a longer service life. This is a pack of 10 lengths, useful for fitting out a kitchen, display unit or a longer continuous run, and each piece can be cut down to suit the space. We also stock matching diffusers, end caps and the LED strip that fits inside this channel.

The 12 x 12 mm internal channel suits standard flexible LED strips up to roughly 10 mm wide. Check your strip width against the channel opening before fitting to be sure it seats correctly behind the diffuser.

Type F is a surface-mounted profile, fixed to the underside of a cabinet, a shelf or a flat face using clips or screws. It sits proud of the surface rather than being let into it.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The aluminium channel can be cut down with a fine-tooth saw or mitre saw to fit your run. Each piece in the pack is 2 metres, so cut to your required length and finish the ends with end caps.

Does a diffuser come with the profile?
