Description

This is a 2m Type D aluminium channel, supplied as a pack of 10, for housing LED strip lighting. Decoded from the article code PROFILO D 2M, it is a low-profile surface-mounting extrusion in anodised aluminium alloy, measuring 2000 × 20 × 8 mm. The low 8 mm height suits shallow runs under cabinets, along shelving and around joinery where a slim channel is wanted.

The aluminium body holds an LED strip neatly inside and acts as a heat sink, while a diffuser clips over the top to soften the line of light. The profile itself is passive and does not light up. Fix it to a flat surface and feed your strip in behind the diffuser, then trim the channel to length as needed. We also stock matching diffusers, end caps and the LED strip that fits inside this Type D channel.
