Description

This is a 2 metre frosted diffuser cover that snaps into the J and K series aluminium profile channels (article SHADE J/K-FR 2M). Moulded from plastic in a frosted finish, it clips over the top of the channel once an LED strip is seated inside, hiding the individual diodes and spreading them into an even, continuous line of light. The diffuser itself does not emit light; it simply shapes the output of the strip behind it.

It cuts to length with a fine saw to match a shorter channel run, and the frosted face is the option to choose where you want a softer, less dotty look than a clear cover. We also stock the matching J and K profile channels, their end caps and mounting clips, plus the LED strip that sits inside.

Which profiles does this diffuser fit?

It is shaped for the J and K series aluminium profile channels. It clips into the top of the channel once the LED strip is in place. Check your channel is from the same J or K family before ordering.

Can I cut it to length?

Yes. The 2 metre length can be trimmed with a fine-tooth saw to suit a shorter channel run. Cut it to match your profile and deburr the edge for a clean fit.

Does the frosted cover dim the strip?

It softens and diffuses the light so individual diodes are not visible, giving an even line. There is a small reduction in output compared with a clear cover, but it removes the dotted appearance. It is the better choice for visible runs.

Does the diffuser come with the channel and strip?

No, this is the diffuser cover only. You will need the matching J or K profile channel, end caps and an LED strip to complete the run, all of which we stock separately.
