27W LED E27 Corn Lamp 4000K Cool White - Non-Dimmable

The Knightsbridge 27W E27 corn lamp is a high-output LED replacement bulb delivering 3,750 lumens of 4000K cool white light from an E27 Edison screw base. The 'corn' name comes from the arrangement of LED chips in vertical columns around the body, giving 280° light distribution that spreads output in all directions except directly backwards through the base.

Designed as a retrofit replacement for commercial pendants, warehouse high bays, workshop luminaires and outdoor enclosed fixtures, the corn lamp sits inside existing E27-socket fittings and converts them from older halogen, metal halide or CFL sources to LED without re-wiring. The 27W draw replaces traditional lamps up to 150W equivalent, delivering comparable or higher lumen output at a fifth of the power consumption. The IP20 rating allows use in dry indoor locations or within IP-rated outdoor luminaires that protect the bulb from direct weather exposure.

Is this bulb dimmable?

No. The 27W corn lamp is non-dimmable and must be used on a standard switched circuit only. Pairing it with a dimmer switch may cause flickering, buzzing or early failure.

Will it fit inside my existing pendant shade?

The bulb measures 60mm diameter and 173mm height, which is bulkier than a standard A60 household bulb. Check the internal dimensions of your shade or luminaire before ordering — the bulb needs at least 65mm clearance width and 180mm clearance height to fit without touching the shade walls.

Can it be used outdoors?

The IP20 rating means the bulb is not weatherproof on its own. It can be used outdoors only when fitted inside an enclosed IP-rated luminaire that protects it from rain, moisture and dust.

What is the L70B50 rating?

L70B50 of 50,000 hours means that after 50,000 hours of operation, at least 50% of a batch of these bulbs will still be producing at least 70% of their original lumen output. This equates to approximately 5.7 years of continuous 24/7 use or 17 years at 8 hours per day.
