Description
This Knightsbridge 24V RGB LED strip light delivers colour-changing lighting across a 5m reel, with 36 x 5050 SMD LEDs per metre providing 9W per metre output. The 10mm-wide flexible strip comes with 3M self-adhesive backing tape, allowing it to be fitted along cabinet undersides, cove lighting runs, shelving edges and alcove recesses. RGB capability cycles through red, green, blue and mixed colours via a separate controller and remote (sold separately).
Designed for internal feature lighting, the IP20 rating limits the strip to dry indoor environments away from moisture. The 24V DC operation requires a constant voltage driver (sold separately) matched to the total wattage of the run — a 5m reel draws 45W. The strip can be cut to length every 166mm at marked intervals, allowing precise fitting to the available space. The maximum continuous run is 10m before electrical resistance begins to affect colour consistency and brightness at the far end.
The 5050 SMD LEDs sit on a flexible PCB substrate that bends around corners with a minimum radius of approximately 50mm, making it suitable for curved cabinet edges and arched alcoves. The 1.8mm profile sits flat against surfaces once the self-adhesive tape is applied. Knightsbridge produces a full range of compatible drivers, RGB controllers, connectors and aluminium profiles (all sold separately) to build a complete installation.

Frequently Asked
What driver and controller are needed?
This 5m reel draws 45W total (9W per metre), so a 24V constant voltage driver rated at 50W or higher is required. An RGB controller and remote are also needed to change colours and control dimming — neither are included with the strip. Knightsbridge sells compatible drivers and controllers separately.
Can it be used in bathrooms or kitchens?
The IP20 rating limits this strip to dry indoor environments. It cannot be used in bathroom zones where moisture is present, or directly above kitchen hobs or sinks. For wet or damp locations, choose an IP67-rated LED strip instead.
Can the strip be cut to a shorter length?
Yes. The strip can be cut every 166mm at marked intervals along its length. Cutting at other points will damage the circuit. Each cut section requires a new connection point to the driver.
What's the maximum continuous run length?
The maximum run is 10m before voltage drop affects colour consistency and brightness at the far end. If more than 10m is needed, run a second parallel circuit from the driver rather than extending a single strip beyond 10m.
