Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24DL5M is a 5m reel of 24V LED strip light producing 6000K daylight white output at 530 lumens per metre. The strip carries 60 x 2835 SMD LEDs per metre on an 8mm-wide flexible PCB, drawing 4.8W per metre when run at full brightness. The strip arrives on a reel with 3M self-adhesive backing tape applied to the reverse.

Designed for internal accent lighting, under-cabinet task lighting, cove lighting and architectural detail work, the strip can be cut to length every 100mm at marked intervals. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from direct water contact. The 24V supply voltage allows runs up to 20m before voltage drop becomes visible, making it suited to longer continuous installations than 12V strip. A separate constant voltage 24V driver is required and sold separately.

The 6000K colour temperature produces a crisp, cool-toned white light similar to midday overcast daylight, which renders colours neutrally and provides high-contrast illumination for workspace and display applications. The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimming driver or PWM controller. The CRI of >80 ensures reasonable colour rendering for general residential and light commercial use, though not at the CRI >90 level needed for retail colour-matching or artwork display.

The strip can be paired with aluminium extrusion profiles (sold separately) to house and protect the LEDs, diffuse the individual LED points into a continuous line of light, and provide a heatsink to extend LED lifespan. Knightsbridge produces a range of compatible drivers, controllers, connectors and profiles for this LED flex series, all available separately at Niori.

What driver do I need?

The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage driver. For a 5m reel drawing 4.8W per metre, a 30W driver provides a safe margin (5m x 4.8W = 24W total load). The driver must be sized to exceed the total wattage of all connected strip. Knightsbridge produces compatible drivers sold separately at Niori.

Can the strip be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The strip can be cut every 100mm at marked cut points along its length. Cutting at any other point will damage the LEDs in that section and void the warranty.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V driver or a PWM dimming controller. The strip itself does not include dimming circuitry — dimming capability comes from the driver or controller used.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the strip has no protection against water ingress and is suitable only for dry indoor locations. For outdoor or wet-area use, select an IP67-rated strip from the Knightsbridge range.
