Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24CW5M is a 5-metre length of 24V LED strip light producing 4000K cool white illumination at 525 lumens per metre. The strip measures 8mm wide and 1.2mm thick, fitted with 60 x 2835 SMD LEDs per metre along a flexible silicone substrate. Each metre draws 4.8W, giving the full 5m reel a 24W total load when powered by a suitable 24V constant voltage driver (sold separately).

Designed for internal architectural and accent lighting, the strip suits under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, cove lighting along ceilings, shelf and display cabinet illumination, and indirect uplighting behind coving or pelmets. The IP20 rating confines the strip to dry indoor locations only. The 4000K colour temperature delivers a neutral cool white that suits task lighting where clarity is needed without the clinical feel of daylight white or the warmth of domestic tungsten.

The strip arrives on a reel with 3M self-adhesive tape pre-applied to the reverse, allowing direct mounting onto clean, dry surfaces (wood, metal, plaster, painted surfaces). Cut points occur every 100mm along the strip, marked with scissor icons, enabling precise length adjustment during installation. The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible 24V LED dimmer or PWM controller, and can be run in continuous lengths up to a maximum of 20 metres when powered from both ends to avoid voltage drop.

Knightsbridge produces an extensive range of compatible accessories for this strip including 24V constant voltage drivers in various wattages, inline connectors, corner connectors, aluminium extrusion profiles with diffusers, and wireless RF controllers. These are sold separately and allow tailored installations for specific architectural requirements.

What driver does this strip need?

The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage LED driver rated for at least 24W to power the full 5m length (4.8W per metre). Knightsbridge produces compatible drivers in various wattages, sold separately. Always size the driver to exceed the total strip wattage by at least 10% for reliable operation.

Can it be cut to shorter lengths?

Yes. Cut points occur every 100mm along the strip, marked with scissor icons. Cutting at these points allows precise length adjustment without damaging the circuitry. Each cut section contains three LEDs.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a compatible 24V LED dimmer or PWM controller positioned between the driver and the strip. Standard mains dimmers cannot be used with 24V LED strip. Check the driver and dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

What is the maximum run length?

The maximum continuous run is 20 metres. Runs longer than 5 metres should be powered from both ends to prevent voltage drop, which causes the far end of the strip to appear dimmer or shift colour temperature.
