Description
The Knightsbridge LED5WCW is a 510mm linkable LED strip light delivering 580lm at 6000K cool white from an integrated 5W LED module. The fitting runs on 24V DC, requiring a separate constant voltage driver (sold separately), and connects end-to-end with other units in the range using the included coupler or optional link leads.
Designed for under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, workshops, retail display shelving and office task lighting, the strip mounts horizontally or vertically using the included fixing kit. The 33mm width and 8mm projection suit tight undercabinet spaces where a traditional fluorescent batten would not fit. Each strip can be individually switched when connected in series, allowing selective control over which sections are lit.
The aluminium body and polycarbonate diffuser carry an IP20 rating for dry interior use only. The 6000K colour temperature provides crisp daylight-tone light suited to task areas where colour accuracy matters — kitchen prep surfaces, workbenches, technical drawing tables. The fitting is dimmable when paired with an appropriate 24V dimmer and driver combination (control gear sold separately). The L70B50 rating of 35,000 hours indicates the point at which 50% of tested units have degraded to 70% of original output.

Frequently Asked
What driver do I need for this strip light?
The fitting requires a 24V DC constant voltage LED driver. The 5W draw means a single strip can run from a 10W or larger driver, but if linking multiple units together calculate total wattage and size the driver accordingly. Knightsbridge drivers compatible with this range are available separately at Niori.
How many strips can be linked together?
The number depends on the driver capacity. Each 510mm strip draws 5W, so a 60W driver could power up to 12 units in theory, but practical considerations (voltage drop, cable run length) usually limit installations to 6-8 strips per driver. Consult the driver specification or contact us for guidance on larger runs.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, but dimming requires both a dimmable 24V driver and a compatible dimmer switch or control interface. The strip itself does not contain dimming circuitry. Standard domestic wall dimmers will not work with 24V DC fittings.
Is the 6000K colour temperature very blue?
6000K is classified as cool white or daylight, with a crisp, neutral-to-slightly-blue tone. It suits task lighting where colour accuracy is needed but can feel clinical in residential settings. If a warmer tone is preferred, Knightsbridge produces 3000K and 4000K versions of this strip in the same form factor.
