Description
The Knightsbridge 20AX DP key switch module provides keyed control over emergency lighting test circuits, with 'EMG LTG TEST' engraved into the antique brass faceplate. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the key is turned to the off position, and the 20AX rating handles circuit loads up to 4,600W on 230V supply. The module clips into Knightsbridge Grid System mounting frames from the front without requiring tools.
Designed for commercial, hospitality and institutional installations where emergency lighting test circuits need restricted access, the key switch prevents unauthorised operation of test functions. The keyed mechanism requires the supplied key to be inserted and turned to activate the circuit, and spare keys are available separately. The module occupies one grid position within a mounting frame, allowing it to be combined with standard switches, sockets or other grid modules in the same faceplate assembly.
The antique brass finish is applied to the steel faceplate and gives a warm, aged metallic tone that suits traditional, heritage and period interiors. The ABS body behind the faceplate houses the terminal block and switching mechanism, and fits a 35mm minimum back box depth when installed in a single-gang grid frame. The IP20 rating means the module is suitable for dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked
What is this module used for?
The key switch module controls emergency lighting test circuits in commercial and institutional buildings. The keyed operation restricts access to the test function to authorised personnel only, preventing accidental or unauthorised testing.
Does it require a separate mounting frame?
Yes. The module clips into Knightsbridge Grid System mounting frames, which are sold separately. The frames are available in various configurations (1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang) and finishes to match the module.
What back box depth is needed?
A 35mm minimum back box depth is required when the module is fitted in a grid frame. Deeper back boxes may be needed if multiple modules are combined in the same frame or if cable bundles are particularly thick.
Are spare keys available?
Yes. Spare keys for Knightsbridge key switch modules are available separately. Contact Niori directly to confirm compatibility and order spare keys for this specific module reference.
