Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules or one 50 x 50mm euro module behind an 85.75mm square polished chrome plate with a rounded edge profile. The faceplate provides a blank mounting surface for custom AV, data and telecommunications installations where the installer chooses which modules to fit — TV aerial, HDMI, USB, CAT5e/6, telephone or speaker terminals.

Designed for bespoke home cinema, office and hospitality AV installations, the modular system allows flexibility to configure exactly the connections needed without overspecifying unused outlets. The 7.5mm projection from the wall keeps the installation low-profile once modules are inserted. The built-in gasket seals the faceplate to the wall, preventing dust ingress around the edges. The polished chrome finish matches Knightsbridge's main polished chrome switch and socket ranges, allowing coordinated installations across rooms.

The premium-grade steel construction carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor environments and includes an earth terminal for metal-bodied euro modules that require earthing. The rounded edge softens the profile compared to sharp-edged plates and reduces the risk of snagging cables during installation. Knightsbridge backs the faceplate with a 25-year warranty.

The 2-gang configuration accepts two 25 x 50mm euro modules side by side, or one 50 x 50mm euro module occupying the full aperture. Common modules include HDMI, CAT5e/6 data, coaxial TV, USB charging ports, 3.5mm audio jacks and telephone sockets. Modules are sold separately.

What back box depth is required?

The faceplate itself adds 7.5mm projection, but the required back box depth depends on the euro modules you install. Most standard euro modules need a 25mm minimum back box depth, but modules with deeper terminals (such as HDMI or some USB chargers) may require 35mm or 47mm boxes. Check the module specification before installation.

Can this be painted around during redecoration?

Yes. The faceplate is screw-fixed to the back box, so it can be removed for painting and refitted afterwards. The built-in gasket remains effective through multiple removals and reattachments.
