Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate accepts two 25x50mm euro-modules or one 50x50mm euro-module behind an 86mm square anthracite curved-edge plate. Built to meet Building Regulations Part M accessibility requirements, the anthracite finish delivers a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of approximately 8.9, providing the minimum 30% contrast against both the inserted modules and typical wall colours for easy visual identification.
Designed for customised AV, data and communication installations, the faceplate pairs with Knightsbridge's euro-module range to create bespoke combinations of HDMI, USB, satellite, Ethernet, coaxial and audio connections in a single wall plate. Common applications include TV wall mounting installations, home office desk setups, and hotel bedside panels where multiple connection types need to be grouped together. The thermoset resin construction provides dimensional stability under heat and resists warping around frequently-used modules.
The faceplate carries third-party tested anti-microbial properties certified to ISO 22196:2011, making it suitable for healthcare, education and commercial environments where surface hygiene matters. The curved edge profile softens the visual impact against the wall and reduces sharp corners, contributing to Part M compliance in accessible settings. The 7mm projection from the wall once fitted allows the plate to sit flush with most plasterboard installations using standard 25mm back boxes.

Frequently Asked
What modules does this faceplate accept?
The faceplate accepts two 25x50mm euro-modules side-by-side, or a single 50x50mm euro-module. Knightsbridge produces euro-modules for HDMI, USB, satellite, coaxial, Ethernet, audio and other connection types that clip into the aperture behind the faceplate.
Why is this Part M compliant?
Building Regulations Part M requires accessible electrical fittings to contrast visually with both the wall and the switch/module itself. This anthracite faceplate has an LRV of 8.9, providing over 30% contrast against typical white or cream walls and against the lighter-coloured euro-modules inserted into it.
What back box depth is required?
A standard 25mm back box is sufficient for most euro-module combinations. Deeper modules (such as certain HDMI or USB variants) may require a 35mm or 47mm back box — check the specific module's installation guide before fitting.
What does the anti-microbial property do?
The thermoset resin is treated to inhibit bacterial growth on the surface, tested to ISO 22196:2011. This makes the faceplate suitable for healthcare, education and commercial settings where surface hygiene is a priority, though it does not replace regular cleaning.
