Two rotary knobs sit side by side on a flat, screwless plate, each one turning to set the level on its own lighting circuit and clicking off at the end of its travel. The plate is warm grey, a soft mid-tone that sits more quietly on a painted wall than bright white does, while the knobs are chrome, giving a small point of shine where your hand lands. With no fixings showing on the front face, it stays tidy in the places switches get looked at most, beside a doorway or at the top of the stairs where you pass it a dozen times a day.

We stock this for rooms where the lighting wants adjusting rather than simply switching on and off: a sitting room with wall lights and a pendant on separate circuits, a bedroom where you want a low glow last thing at night, a dining room that has to serve homework and a long evening meal equally well. It is rated at 100W and is intended for dimmable LED lamps on household lighting circuits indoors.
