Description

This Knightsbridge under cabinet lighting kit includes three 2.5W LED lights in a brushed chrome finish, each producing 220 lumens of 4000K cool white light through an opal diffuser. The kit is supplied with a constant current dimmable driver, a 6-way connection box, and 2.5m of cable per light, providing everything needed for installation in a single pack.

Designed for kitchen worktop lighting, home office task lighting, and display cabinet illumination, each light measures 68mm diameter with an 11mm profile for surface mounting or a 63mm cut-out for recessed installation. The low-profile polycarbonate and pressed steel construction sits flush against cabinet undersides or wall surfaces, with the brushed chrome rim matching cabinet hardware and appliance finishes. The system supports up to six lights on a single driver, allowing expansion beyond the three included units.

The dimmable driver requires a trailing-edge dimmer for smooth control (not included), allowing light output to be reduced from full brightness down to low ambient levels for evening use. Each light carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations and a Class II double-insulated construction that does not require an earth connection. The SMD LED sources carry a 25,000-hour L70 rating and a CRI greater than 80, providing consistent colour rendering across food prep and work surfaces.

Note: A minimum of two lamps is required for operation. The kit is not compatible with leading-edge dimmers.

Yes. The kit includes a dimmable constant current driver that requires a trailing-edge dimmer (not included). Leading-edge dimmers are not compatible and may cause flickering or failure to dim smoothly.

Can the kit be expanded beyond three lights?

Yes. The driver and connection box support up to six lights in total. Additional lights from the same range can be added to the system up to this maximum.

What installation depth is needed for recessed mounting?

The lights require a 63mm cut-out diameter and at least 11mm of clearance above the mounting surface for the recessed body. For surface mounting, the 11mm projection sits below the cabinet.

Why is a minimum of two lamps required?

The constant current driver needs a minimum load to operate correctly. Running a single light may cause the driver to shut down or behave erratically. Always install at least two lights from the kit.
