Description

The Knightsbridge 2.5W LED under cabinet light delivers 185 lumens of 3000K warm white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser set into a 68mm diameter brushed chrome bezel. The integrated SMD LED produces 280 lumens at source, with the diffuser softening this to 185 lumens output across a 100-degree beam angle. At just 11mm projection from the ceiling surface, the fitting sits flush beneath kitchen wall units, shelving and display cabinets.

Designed for under-cabinet task lighting in kitchens, home offices and retail display installations, the fitting requires a 63mm cut-out and connects via a 2.5m cable to a constant current LED driver (sold separately). The light is dimmable using trailing-edge dimmers only — leading-edge dimmers are not compatible. The Class III rating means the fitting operates on extra-low voltage from the driver, removing the need for earthing at the light itself.

The brushed chrome finish on the steel bezel provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome cabinet handles and contemporary kitchen schemes. The polycarbonate construction and pressed steel bezel combine durability with the low weight needed for overhead installation. The light carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry indoor locations but not for bathrooms or outdoor use. The LED module is rated for 25,000 hours at L70B50, meaning it retains 70% of initial brightness after 25,000 hours of continuous operation.

No. The light requires a separate constant current LED driver, which must be purchased separately. The driver needs to be compatible with the 2.5W load and must support trailing-edge dimming if dimmer functionality is required.

What type of dimmer is compatible?

Only trailing-edge dimmers are compatible with this LED under cabinet light. Leading-edge dimmers will not work correctly and may cause flickering or damage. Check that your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads and uses trailing-edge technology.

What cut-out size is needed for installation?

A 63mm diameter cut-out is required. The finished bezel diameter is 68mm, which covers the cut-out edge. The fitting projects 11mm below the surface once installed, so ensure there is adequate clearance above countertops or shelves.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only and is not protected against moisture. It cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where it may be exposed to water or condensation.
