Description

Decoded from the article reference SHADE-U H-FR 1M, this is a 1m U-shape diffuser cover for an aluminium LED profile channel. Moulded in transparent plastic with a frosted finish, it clips into the top of the channel to soften and spread the light from the LED strip seated inside. The cover itself is passive: it carries no LEDs and emits no light of its own, it simply diffuses the strip held within the profile. The frosted face reduces visible diode dotting along the run, giving an even line of light.

The cover snaps into compatible U-profile channels and can be trimmed to suit a shorter length, so it works for surface, recessed and corner installations. We also stock matching aluminium profiles, end caps and the LED strip that fits inside, so a full run can be specified together.

Can the cover be cut to length?

Yes. The 1m cover can be trimmed with a fine saw or sharp blade to match a shorter channel run. Cut squarely so the end caps still seat neatly.

Does the frosted finish dim the strip?

The frosted transparent face diffuses the LED strip to even out the line of light and hide diode dots. It softens the appearance rather than reducing usable brightness significantly.

Is a diffuser cover needed at all?

A diffuser cover is recommended where the strip is visible, as it spreads the light and protects the strip. For concealed runs you may prefer a profile without a cover, though the frosted version gives the most even result.
