Description

The Knightsbridge 1m track lighting kit includes a 1000mm aluminium circuit track in black finish, three adjustable GU10 spotlight heads, and live and dead end accessories for mains connection. Each spotlight head rotates 350° on its mounting point and tilts 80° up or down, allowing light to be directed onto specific areas such as worktops, artwork, retail displays or reading zones.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, galleries and retail spaces where flexible directional lighting is needed without multiple ceiling roses, the track mounts directly to a ceiling or wall surface using the integrated fixing points. The three spotlight positions are pre-set along the 1m track length, spaced to provide even coverage across a typical kitchen island, desk run or display wall. The track accepts standard UK mains voltage and each spotlight takes a GU10 bulb up to 50W (bulbs sold separately).

The aluminium construction gives structural rigidity while keeping the total weight manageable for plasterboard ceiling installation with appropriate fixings. The matt black finish suits industrial, modern and monochrome interiors and minimises reflection under daylight. The IP20 rating confirms the kit is suitable for dry indoor locations only — not bathrooms, wetrooms or outdoor covered areas.

Each GU10 socket is wired in parallel to the track circuit, so if one bulb fails the other two remain lit. Dimming capability depends on the bulbs installed — pairing the kit with dimmable GU10 LEDs and a compatible wall dimmer allows brightness control, while non-dimmable bulbs operate at full output only.

What bulbs does this kit require?

The kit takes three GU10 bulbs, sold separately. Each socket accepts up to 50W, so halogen or LED GU10 bulbs are suitable. Most users pair this with 5-7W GU10 LEDs in 3000K or 4000K depending on the room function.

Can the spotlight positions be moved along the track?

No. The three spotlight heads are factory-fitted at set positions along the 1m track. They cannot be repositioned, but each head rotates 350° and tilts 80° to direct light where needed.

Is the kit dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs installed. If you fit dimmable GU10 LEDs and pair the circuit with a compatible LED dimmer switch, brightness can be adjusted. Non-dimmable bulbs operate at full output only.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

The 1m track is a sealed circuit assembly with pre-wired spotlight positions. Cutting it would compromise the electrical integrity and void the warranty. For shorter runs, consider whether one or two individual spotlight fittings would be more appropriate.
