Description

This is a 1 metre Type F aluminium alloy profile, supplied as a pack of 10 and measuring 1000 x 12 x 12 mm with an anodised finish. The compact square Type F section is a surface-mounted channel for housing an LED strip, giving it a tidy, finished line along shelving, joinery, coving or under cabinets. The profile itself does not light up; an LED strip seats inside the channel and a diffuser clips over the top to soften the run.

The anodised aluminium body helps draw heat away from the strip and protects it from knocks and dust. Each length can be cut down to suit the run, and the 10 pack covers longer or repeated installs in one order. We also stock matching diffusers and end caps for this profile, plus the LED strip that fits inside.

The Type F channel takes a standard flexible LED strip sized to its internal width. Check your strip measures within the 12 mm profile section before fitting.

Is this for surface or recessed mounting?

Type F is a surface-mounted profile that fixes onto a flat surface such as a shelf, cabinet underside or coving. It is not designed to be recessed into a groove.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes, each 1 metre length can be cut down with a fine-tooth saw or mitre cut to suit your run. Tidy the cut edge before fitting the strip and diffuser.

Does a diffuser come included?

A diffuser is not included with the profile. We stock matching diffusers and end caps separately so you can complete the channel to suit your installation.
