Description

This is a 1 metre LED profile in the slim Type D format, supplied here as a pack of 10. The article code PROFILO D 1M confirms the length and the low-profile D channel section, measuring 1000 × 20 × 8 mm in anodised aluminium alloy. An LED strip seats inside the channel and sits behind a diffuser, so the run shows a clean, even line rather than the individual diodes. The profile itself is unlit hardware that holds and protects the strip.

The narrow 20 × 8 mm section suits surface mounting along shelves, cabinet edges, skirting and worktop undersides where a discreet housing is wanted. The aluminium body also helps draw heat away from the strip, which supports its working life. Cut the channel to length to match your run before fitting. The Type D channel takes a standard flexible LED strip sized to its internal width. Check your strip's backing width against the 20 mm overall profile before ordering, allowing for the diffuser that sits over the top.

Is this profile surface mounted or recessed?

The slim Type D section is intended for surface mounting onto shelves, cabinet edges and similar flat runs. It fixes flush to the surface and the LED strip then sits inside behind the diffuser.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The aluminium alloy channel can be cut down with a fine-tooth saw to suit your run, then deburred. Each piece in the 10 pack is supplied at 1 metre.

Is a diffuser included?

A diffuser is not supplied as standard with the profile. We stock matching diffusers and end caps separately so you can complete the channel and its strip.
